About us

In 2006 Justin and David disenchanted with the uninteresting and flavourless ales available within the market, decided that actions speaks louder than words and putting their passion for full flavoured ales to the test, set up the Jacobi Brewery of Caio.

From four of nature’s simplest ingredients—barley, hops, yeast and water—we brew some of the most satisfying, complex beers. But it takes time, patience and skill to get it just right, but we think you’ll appreciate the results.

Because a beer is meant to be savoured when it’s fresh we use only the best ingredients. Here, the marriage of craft and passion weaves the full flavours and aromas of our remarkably tasty, premium beers.

Jacobi Brewery is a craft brewery based in a converted barn on the Dolaucothi Estate, Carmarthenshire, on the site of the roman goldmine workings.

The Jacobi Brewery is located on Penlanwen Farm, which is part of the National Trust Dolaucothi Estate situated in the beautiful Cothi Vale, West Wales. The estate has been managed by the National Trust since 1943 after being gifted to them by the Lloyd-Johnes family who owned the estate since the time of Henry VII.
